General Session 6 Jerry Howard, NAHB President & CEO

2016 Economic & Political Outlook

We have a little more than half the year in economic and housing performance to understand what happened. Will the rest of the year continue the trend or will we see a turn?  Housing has been a challenge throughout the recovery but there is still plenty of room to grow. Will growth continue into 2017 and how good (or bad) will it be?  What impact will the Presidential race have on our industry and what are some of the top legislative priorities? Jerry Howard will address the pace of the housing recovery to date and provide evidence of where it will go next year along with some details on what is being built and where. He will also share NAHB’s perspective on the Presidential race and their legislative priorities in 2017.
