National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA)
Jonathan Paine serves as the President & CEO of the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA). As CEO of NLBMDA, Paine is in charge of the daily operations, membership services, advocacy, education, events, marketing and
financial management of the association. He works closely with NLBMDA leaders, member volunteers and the 12 state and
regional association partners to implement the association’s strategic initiatives. Paine has a proven record of success with
NLBMDA over his 10 plus years serving the organization.
Paine also directs NLBMDA’s advocacy initiatives and manages the association’s government relations team. He is in charge of the development of the annual NLBMDA National Policy Agenda that outlines the associations federal policy position on a variety of legislative, code, and regulatory topics and oversees the annual legislative fly-in event.
Paine is a proven association management professional and was previously named a Forty Under 40 Award Recipient from the Association Forum and USAE News recognizing his outstanding achievement and leadership in working with associations. Paine holds a bachelor’s degree in Government, Law, & Politics from Suffolk University in Boston. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, its highest honor.
He also is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) through the American Society of Association ExecutivesTM (ASAE), of which he is a member.
