The Biden Administration and congressional Democrats have been working to address the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to passing a comprehensive legislative package that includes action on climate change, clean energy, infrastructure and more.  NLBMDA has been heavily engaged in the legislative and regulatory arena on behalf of the lumber and building material dealer industry in the U.S. and this session will cover the latest updates on key issues affecting our members.  NLBMDA staff will provide an in-depth look at a recent infrastructure package and the Build Back Better Act, in addition to affordable housing issues and more. Lastly, the session will cover lobbying efforts at the regulatory level, ranging from NLBMDA efforts to address supply chain issues and softwood lumber pricing, and OSHA’s recent action on an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for COVID-19.
